Westlake Debuts Building Products Line at KBIS
HOUSTON – Westlake Chemical Corp. will bring together a variety of products acquired in the past two years under a new brand announced in late January.
Westlake Royal Building Products™, set to debut at the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in Orlando in February, includes Royal® Building Products, Boral® North America building products, and DaVinci® Roofscapes.
Westlake announced the new branding on Jan. 25.
“Today is a historic day for our team as we launch Westlake Royal Building Products, which represents our depth of experience and ongoing commitment to quality, innovation and customer relationships,” said Steve Booz, vice president of marketing at Westlake Royal Building Products.
“Westlake Royal Building Products goes to market with a broader, more diverse range of products, services, and solutions that meet the needs of architects, builders, and homeowners throughout North America.”
Parent company Westlake Chemical, a petrochemical and polymer manufacturer, began forming its new building-products arm in 2016 by acquiring Axiall in a deal valued at $3.8 billion. Part of Axiall included the Royal Group, a maker of extruded-plastic building products that began in Toronto in 1970.
Westlake Chemical added DaVinci Roofscapes, a manufacturer of composite roofing materials, in 2019.
Last June, Westlake Chemical bought the North American Building Products Division of Australia-based Boral Limited for $2.15 billion, including manufactured-stone products from Cultured Stone, Eldorado Stone, Dutch Quality Stone and StoneCraft Industries.
Westlake Chemical Co. is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the WLK symbol.
