West Quartz Launches New Materials Line
GARLAND, Texas – West Quartz, a new surfacing producer, launched its line of surfacing materials at the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) last week with new colors and a familiar face in the hard-surfaces industry.
The company, with its initial U.S. showroom/warehouse in the Dallas area, offers 20 of the most-popular current colors, as well as featuring innovative, limited-edition selections and small batch custom designs. West Quartz will also offer a full line of cut-to-size products for multi-family and hospitality projects.
Heading up U.S. operations is Jason Nottestad, who’s been involved in the surfacing business for the last two decades in positions ranging from countertop installer to corporate management. He also wrote the popular “The Installer” column for Stone Business Magazine in the 2000s.
“Our multi-pronged approach recognizes the variety of customer needs in today’s quartz-surfacing marketplace,” says Nottestad, CEO of West Quartz. “It’s also a testament to our manufacturing expertise that we can offer such a wide range of products.”
Although a new brand for the U.S. market, West Quartz has a decade of production experience and decades of experience in the U.S. hard-surfaces industry. With ten production lines and its own quartz stone quarry, West Quartz has both a large production capability and a reliable supply of raw materials.
The West Quartz stock inventory colors will be anchored by popular marble selections, including a black material with white veining. Limited edition colors will feature patterns and colors outside of the natural-stone influence, exploring alternate colors and patterns in nature and the world of art. Small-batch custom designs will allow a customer to create their own unique look without requiring a large slab order.
“We’re always experimenting and looking forward to see how we can offer product innovations to our customer base,” Nottestad adds.
Additional locations for West Quartz will be rolling out in the next few years. And, the showrooms will be much more than just a place to view product.
“We’re collaborating with local artists by inviting them to share their art and music within our space,” Nottestad says. “Working together to support and inspire each other is one of our key concepts.”
