Vitória Stone Fair to Move to São Paulo
VERONA, Italy — Brazil’s largest natural-stone event will be moving to a new city — and a much larger stage — next year.
The Vitória Stone Fair will move to São Paulo, Brazil’s largest city, and become Marmomac Brazil, beginning in February 2025.
Veronafiere, the producer of the Vitoria event, made the announcement on the first day of this year’s stone fair.
“Veronafiere is a reality with 125 years of activity and continuous growth abroad with the Vitoria Stone Fair, and our other events Cachoeiro Stone Fair, Mec Show and Wine South America are recording excellent results in Brazil,” said Matteo Gelmetti, Veronafiere vice-president. “Now, with this initiative we want to transform the fair in Vitória into an even more mature, international and attractive event.
“This is a real evolution of the format, to contribute to the development of the stone sector and create new business opportunities, both for Brazilian and Italian companies.”
The new name of the event was chosen to underline the strong international identity of the fair and its increasingly close connection with Marmomac.
“We are convinced that this is an important step for the future of Vitória Stone Fair,” said Maurizio Danese, Veronafiere CEO. “Marmomac is an internationally recognized brand, which represents the excellence of the stone sector. Combining this brand with our fair in Brazil allows us to create new synergies between the two events, both in terms of cross-marketing and incoming operators, taking advantage of the large global community of Marmomac.”
Marmomac Brazil in São Paulo, noted Veronafiere in a media statement, allows diversification of the event by targeting, in particular, North America. The city, the largest in the Western Hemisphere at a population of 22.4 million, “has a logistically more favorable position to attract new operators such as architects, interior designers, construction companies and other professionals who are directly or indirectly linked to the purchase, sale and use of natural stones in large projects.”
The Vitória event, now in its 21st year, has been organized by Veronafiere through its subsidiary of Milanez & Milaneze since 2013. This year’s fair includes more than 250 exhibitors and buyers from 50 nations and is anticipated to generate more than €185 million in turnover.
