Tucker Design Awards Call for Entries
CHESTERTOWN, N.Y. – The Building Stone Institute (BSI) is now accepting entries for the 2016 Tucker Design Awards for natural-stone use.
Entries can be submitted online until Jan. 15.
The natural-stone industry’s most prestigious architectural honors, the Tucker Design Awardsrecognize professionals and the projects achieving excellence in the use of natural stone in design and construction.
Categories do not limit project award selection. All aspects of natural-stone installation, whether exterior building, landscape, interior design, ornamentation or restoration of commercial, institutional or residential projects are considered in the Tucker Design Awardselection process.
Architects, landscape architects, interior designers, restorers and other design professionals are encouraged to enter. Suppliers and installers of natural stone materials used in a project may submit entries on behalf of the designer.
This edition’s jurors, all hailing from New Orleans, are:
L. Azeo “Ace” Torre of Torre Design Consortium-Architecture and Landscape Architecture;
F. Macnaughton “Mac” Ball of Waggoner & Ball Architects; and
Jack W. Davis, retired editor and publisher, Chicago Tribune.
Entries are due on Jan. 15; all materials need to be submitted electronically by March 11.
The 2016 Tucker Design Awards will be presented to the winning projects architect or landscape architect on Oct. 20, 2016, at the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans.
