StonExpo, Marmomacc Partnership Renewed
VERONA, Italy – The ties between two stone events – Marmomacc and StonExpo – strengthened today with a renewal of their strategic alliance.
The agreement offers a five-year extension of the partnership between VeronaFiere, producer of the international stone event in Verona, and Hanley Wood Exhibitions, owner of the long-running StonExpo event in the United States.
The U.S. event will continue to be known at StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas. The renewed agreement also offers the possibility of extending the partnership until 2025.
Giovanni Mantovani, CEO & director general of VeronaFiere, and Dana Teague, group director of Hanley Wood Exhibitions, signed the agreement during this year’s Marmomacc.
“This is a very high-level partnership,” Mantovani noted. “Hanley Wood Exhibitions is one of the most-important groups operating in the U.S.A. in the building and construction sector with four divisions – two of which in publishing and exhibitions organisation – generating turnover of more than $250 million a year.
“This agreement, on the one hand, helps Marmomacc consolidate already numerous and qualified attendance of buyers and designer from North and Central America, since Las Vegas is a destination for operators from these areas; while, on the other hand, it also supports exports by Italian companies in the sector.”
The rebranding of the StonExpo event began in 2008 with an agreement completed that July between VeronaFiere and Hanley Wood Exhibitions. Previously, the two entities signed a mutual endorsement agreement in April 2005.
The next edition of StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas will be January 23-26, 2012, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
