Silestone® Design Contest Returns
STAFFORD, Texas — The second annual Silestone Design Contest is now seeking entries from the past 12 months (or so) that celebrate the influence of color and push the envelope of design possibilities in the foremost room of the home.
A panel of high-profile design experts – named the “Trendspotters” – will judge and select three winning projects that feature the Cosentino Group’s Silestone® quartz in a kitchen that reflects dynamic design nd showcases a true passion for color. The grand-prize winner will receive an all-expenses-paid, six-day trip to Spain and $1,500.
“Building on last year’s success, we’re looking forward to the start of the second annual Silestone Design Contest,” said Lorenzo Marquez, marketing vice president for Cosentino North America. “The kitchen is the essence of a home, and innovative color and design truly enhances the multi-functional space. As a company, we’re honored to recognize designers who rely on Silestone to creatively bring their visions to life.”
The Silestone Design Competition judging panel includes Julia Buckingham Edelmann of the full-service interior design firm Buckingham Interiors + Design in Chicago; Abbe Fenimore, the Dallas designer behind Studio Ten 25 and the Shop Ten 25 curated online store; and Kerrie Kelly, founder of the Kerrie Kelly Design Lab in Sacramento, Calif.
The contest is open to all independent designers completing kitchen projects using Silestone from August 2012 to September 2013. The call for entries ends Nov. 15, 2013, and the winners will be announced on Dec. 3, 2013. For complete contest details or to enter a project, go here.
