SFA Mega Workshop Gets Bigger
NASHVILLE – It’s time to plan that trip to the Music City this fall, as the education and expo list keeps getting longer for the 2012 Mega Workshop here on Oct. 10-12 from the Stone Fabricators Alliance (SFA).
In the biggest event yet for the SFA, attendees will be able to choose from 20 different seminars and see the latest tools of the trade from close to 40 exhibitors at the downtown Nashville Convention Center. There’s also the hands-on, get-wet-and-dirty demo area of “The Cage,” as well as the head-to-head competition of the Fabricator Olympics on Oct. 12 for bragging rights and cash prizes.
And, in the tradition of the SFA, it’s all free for attendees.
The seminar program includes all three days of the event, touching on everyday concerns such as glues, restoration, materials handling and sealers; subjects also include sustainable design, social-media advertising and sales management, among others. Several of the more-popular sessions are repeated to make sure attendees can cover the basics as well as new concepts.
An added attraction is the “The Ultimate Stone Romance,” an in-depth presentation on stone by famed Italian stone company Antolini Luigi & C. The multi-hour seminar on Oct. 11, beginning at 1 p.m., is the sole presentation that afternoon.
