Rocky Mountain Stone Association Seeking to Build

DENVER – The Rocky Mountain Stone Association (RMSA), founded to help consumers and the stone industry alike, is now accepting applications for new membership.

250 Rocky Mt StoneEstablished in 2011, the RMSA provide an atmosphere of communication and cooperation that promotes integrity, quality and safety in the stone industry ultimately providing consumers a viable avenue for selecting a reputable business for their projects.

To become a member, fabricators must go through a certification process that includes a safety audit and verification that they are operating with all the proper federal, state and local business documentation. Once approved, members pay an annual fee which allows access to hands-on training workshops, updates of industry safety standards and technology, assistance with business best practices and understanding the local market and current trends,

Members are also listed on the RMSA website and can take advantage of the many opportunities for networking and business development. Stone suppliers, restoration companies and other related business such as architects and designers are welcomed as associate members.

RMSA assists the expanded building and design community by offering classes and other informative seminars that can qualify for Continuing Education Units (CEU), and allows them to become knowledgeable industry partners.

“We want to make the stone industry special again,” said Joe Percoco, one of RMSA’s founders. “We provide a highly specialized product and service, but as stone has become a more affordable design option, our industry has become very fragmented.

“As less experienced and knowledgeable people take advantage of the expanding market the customer suffers as does the reputation of our trade as a whole. Our goal is to reverse this trend.”
