Rockhead Group Widens International Reach

CLEVELAND — The Rockhead Group USA LLC, a group-affiliation buying organization and best-practices organization, welcomed five new members in the first three months of 2017.

In January, Signature Granite of Neosho, Mo., and owner Krista Lake became the year’s first new member, followed quickly by Jonathon Vanasse of Granit Design, a Montreal-based company with a Derby, Vt., location.

In February, the group welcomed its first Iowa member with Cory Havill’s Big Creek Granite in the town of Norway.

March continued the membership growth with William Streich of Genesis Granite dba S&H Granite in Wichita Falls, Texas, which also serves the Oklahoma City market. The month also saw the addition of Adam Reed of Stone Edge Countertops in Houston.

“The Surfaces Show and Costentino 100 (C100) always results in membership for us because fabricators are able to see and listen to what we offer first-hand,” said Rockhead Group CEO Dawn Kennedy. “The person-to-person connections made at Surfaces and C100 have served us very well.”

“Although these two events make a strong showing for the first quarter of the year, we continue to onboard new members each and every month throughout the year.”

Membership should increase significantly in 2017 with the group’s affiliation and partnership with A.J. Gallagher in offering affordable health insurance coverage and other HR benefits for employees.

“In a market with dwindling experienced shop laborers the ability to recruit and retain staff with exemplary but affordable HR benefits (due to volume pricing as a group) is sure to attract additional members to our group” Kennedy noted.

This year the Rockhead Group is also offering four conferences to its members – including a summit held concurrent with Coverings, the annual benchmarking retreat in the summer and the executives retreat in autumn.

“As we grow in numbers and subsequent revenue we are able to reinvest those resources in programming, technology and services for our members,” Kennedy added.
