Regent Hosting Countertop Repair Class

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — It’s inevitable with countertop fabrication and installation; you’ll have a problem with the surface of a job.  Being prepared to handle those issues can save you thousands on just one project.

200 regentRegent Products is joining with Jim Lang, maker of Quartz Renew™, Jim Lang to bring you an intensive hands-on training series Dec. 5-6 on face polishing. This class is open for all skill levels, from beginner to expert, to show how to fix surface blemishes in e-stone and granite.

Lang will guide you through the hands-on training, sharing the tips and techniques he’s developed in more than 20 years in the trade. The class will give you the tools and supplies you need to be successful at countertop-face polishing and will also give you after-training guidance to help you carry over the knowledge from training into live situations.

Those who attend also receive 30 days of free technical support.

The topics covered in the class include:

  • Tools and supplies of the trade: What you must have to be successful;
  • Repair Assessment: Knowing what to look for, and translating that into a repair game plan;
  • When cleaners may be the solution;
  • Effects of sealer/color enhancer on face polishing;
  • Diamond polishing: Resin (wet) vs Sorma (dry) pads, and when to use each;
  • Face-polishing quartz, marble and granite: Techniques and supplies for each material;
  • Edge polishing; and
  • Blending face polishing repairs with the factory finish.

The two-day course will feature granite repair on the first day, and engineered stone repair on the second. The instruction is designed so attendees can attend both days, or just one day. The price will include training and tooling, plus breakfast and lunch on both days.

Class size will be limited to offer optimal instruction.
