• SapienStone Inc., Chicago, introduces SapienStone, a luxury porcelain slab manufactured in the United States.
Sized at 120” X 60”, the slabs come in two distant thicknesses, polished or matte finish, and in assorted contemporary colors, with an array of customizable choice that is sure to meet your sophisticated taste.
SapienStone is inspired the idea that, when creative people come together and share a vision, great things happen. A state-of-the-art facility in Crossville, Tenn., has approximately 700,000 square feet of production space, with an attached learning center for continuing education on luxury porcelain slab installation. With a capability to produce over 72 million ft² annually, the company can distribute slabs nationwide, as well as in other countries throughout the world.
The slabs include the ACTIVE Photocatalytic finish, an advanced architectural surface covering which relies on the cleansing effect of photocatalytic substances. These substances are added to the porcelain slabs during manufacturing in a patented Fiandre innovation which allows ACTIVE to remain at work long after installation has been completed.
The ACTIVE finish continually purifies our planet’s atmosphere, while molecular technologies allow ACTIVE to simultaneously destroy 99% of most common bacteria.
