Partnership for StonExpo, International Woodworking Fair
DALLAS – A new woodworking education program at StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas next year will be part of a strategic partnership with the International Woodworking Fair.
The agreement, announced today, brings an official endorsement to StonExpo by the IWF, the biennial event that’s the largest woodworking technology trade show in North America.
An IWF woodworking-specific education program will be available to StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas attendees next January, encompassing design, business management, business development and material processing for the cabinetry and countertop sector as it relates to kitchen and bath.
More information regarding the IWF education program will be announced in the coming weeks.
Recognized around the world as the pre-eminent event for introducing and selling manufacturing equipment, supplies and innovative new technology, The IWF is held every even-numbered year in Atlanta; the 2012 event attracted 15,000 industry professionals and 8,000 exhibitor representatives from all 50 states and more than 80 countries.
“We welcome IWF as an official endorser in 2014 and see great opportunities for this new partnership,” said Amie Gilmore, associate director of SURFACES | StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas. “There is an abundance of ways we can collaborate and we look forward to growing this partnership.”
Richard Hannigan, IWF 2014 Chairman, said that, “We see this as an opportunity to extend the IWF brand beyond wood. It makes sense to launch our new conference within an event such as StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas and SURFACES.”
SURFACES | StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas 2014 will be held Jan. 27-30 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. Educational programs start Jan. 27, with the trade exhibition opening on Jan. 28.
