Palakodati Leaves Architectural Surfaces Group
ANAHEIM, Calif.— Sunil Palakodati, president of the Architectural Surfaces Group (ASG) segment of Select Interior Concepts Inc. (SIC) resigned effective Jan. 31 to pursue other interests.
Select Interiors is searching for a new ASG president. In the interim, Palakodati’s responsibilities will be assumed by various senior level managers that will report directly to SIC CEO Tyrone Johnson.
Palakodati joined Austin, Texas-based Architectural Granite and Marble in 2016, becoming its president that December. He worked with private-equity financier Trive Capital In the 2017 deal to merge with Residential Design Services to form Anaheim-based SIC, and also acquired regional stone fabricators and distributors such as Pental Surfaces, Modul Marble & Granite and Bedrock International.
“I want to thank Sunil for his many contributions to the company over the last several years and I wish him well in his future endeavors,” Johnson said. “I look forward to working closely with the entire ASG team as we continue to execute against our growth plans, including expanding the reach of our premium products and strengthening our global sourcing network.”
