NTCA Honors 3 With New Accolade
JACKSON, Miss. – The National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA) introduces a new award in 2026 with its first three recipients.
The NTCA Technical Committee Impact Award was developed to recognize individuals whose expertise, dedication and volunteer contributions made a lasting difference in the work of the technical committee and the NTCA Reference Manual.

The inaugural recipients are:
- Mike Gillett of Commercial Ceramics, Inc. Gillett was instrumental in adding profiles to the NTCA Reference Manual and continues to volunteer for subcommittees, contributing valuable documents and guidance for tile contractors;
- Dan Lambert of Lambert Tile & Stone. Lambert has been an active volunteer on several subcommittees. Recently, he led a group of committee members in reviewing, editing and reorganizing the entire NTCA Reference Manual; and
- Jim Whitfield of MAPEI. Whitfield has been a long-standing member of the committee, lending his insights to multiple projects that ensure the Reference Manual reflects accurate information from the manufacturer’s perspective.
James Woelfel, chair of the NTCA Technical Committee, says it recognizes these committee members for their hard work, consistent participation and support for the committee and the NTCA Reference Manual.
The NTCA Technical Committee is composed of tile industry experts dedicated to developing and maintaining the NTCA Reference Manual, the industry’s most comprehensive technical resource, by regularly reviewing and updating standards, addressing emerging installation challenges and ensuring the manual reflects current best practices.
