Pokarna Dedicates New Quartz-Surface Plant
SECUNDERABAD, India — Pokarna Engineered Stone Limited dedicated its brand new, state-of-the-art quartz-surface manufacturing plant on July 31.
K.T. Rama Rao, Minister for Municipal Administration & Urban Development, Industries & Commerce, and Information Technology for the Indian state of Telangana inaugurated the facility in a formal ceremony.
“Our brand-new factory manufactures quartz surfaces and commenced commercial production on March 24,” said Gautam Chand Jain, Pokarna chairman and managing director. “It is equipped with the most-advanced and worldwide-patented Bretonstone technology from Italy and is spread over 160,000 square meters and has a built-up area of about 6 Lacs (600,000) ft².
“Equipped with several robots and other high level of process automation for supporting wide range of Industry 4.0 applications, this plant increases our installed capacity to 15 million ft² annually”.
“With Pokarna’s world-class manufacturing facility in Telangana, the engineered-stone industry globally has a brand-new, most-sustainable, and highly automated quartz surface manufacturing facility,” said Paras Kumar Jain, Pokarna CEO. “This unit incorporates the latest technological innovations of safety, environment, product designing, and industrial performance”.
Also attending were Sabitha Indra Reddy, Telegana Minister of State for Education; Errabeli Dayakar Rao, Minister of State for Panchayat Raj, Rural Development and Rural Water Supply of Telangana[ and other representatives, vendor and supplier partners, and dealers of the company.
