New Plant Start-Up for Quantra Quartz Surfaces
MEKANGUDA, India — Pokarna Engineered Stone Limited (PESL) began commercial operations at its second state-of-the-art quartz surface manufacturing facility in India late last month.
The new plant is located in Mekaguda, approximately 28 miles southwest of Hyderabad.
With a built-up area of more than 600,000 ft², the new plant is one of the world’s largest quartz-surfaces manufacturing facilities, equipped with the latest Bretonstone technology from Breton S.p.A. of italy, to produce slabs in sizes of super jumbo, jumbo and regular.
The new unit includes multi-axes robotic arms to produce exotic natural-looking as well as studio designs and is also powered by a whole new generation of fabrication equipment to ensure world-class quality with maximum speed and precision.
“It’s indeed a memorable and a very proud moment for us as we commence commercial operations at Unit 2,” said Gautam Chand Jain, Chairman & Managing Director. “This milestone will further increase PESL’s capabilities to please its vast customer base across North America, Europe, Middle East, India; from major existing markets to fast-growing new markets

Exported under the brand name of Quantra, PESL’s surfaces and fabricated products are offered worldwide.
