Cosentino Convention Sets Record
PLAYA DEL CARMEN, Mexico — Cosentino Group celebrated its relationship with North American fabricators and partners during the 21st annual “Cosentino 100” convention, held near here at the Grand Velas Riviera Maya resort.
The convention, from Jan. 28-31, drew leading customers and partners to learn the latest from the Cantoria, Spain-based manufacturer. This year’s Cosentino 100 set a new record, bringing together more than 470 guests from 164 manufacturing and processing companies across the U.S. and Canada.
This year’s theme, “Inspiring People with Innovative Surfaces” reflected the company’s continued commitment to celebrate its customers and partners–rooted in the shared values of innovation, quality,and workplace safety. In addition to learning the industry latest from Cosentino executive leadership, guests can explore new product launches, including the Loft and Eternal Collections from Silestone, the Dekton Stonika Collection, and Dekton Slim–the .4cm ultra-compact surface.
In his opening speech, Cosentino President, Francisco “Paco” Martínez-Cosentino, thanked the guests and invited them to join the company in its spirit of innovation.
“Continue innovating and investing in sustainability and a higher level of digitalization in order to be efficient, reach clients adequately and strengthen the growth of all the industry,” he said. “From our side we will continue with our commitment with the North American market, offering the best possible service to all our clients to be better every day.”
The convention also draws leading professional organizations, including leadership from the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), the Natural Stone Institute, the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and the International Surface Fabricators Association (ISFA). Among the speakers and lecturers were renowned multimedia artist and motivational speaker Phil Hansen and Ken Simonson, chief economist of the Associated General Contractors of America.
Cosentino Group currently has one of the largest North American commercial and distribution networks ever established by a Spanish company. Today, North America accounts for approximately 52% of the group’s global sales, with 43 Cosentino Centers, five Cosentino City Centers, two distribution hubs and 12 production factories, all located in the United States. Cosentino North America manages its Cosentino Centers from its headquarters in Coral Gables, Fla., and employs 1,200 nationwide.
The Cosentino Group currently distributes its products and brands in more than 110 countries, from its headquarters in Almeria (Spain). Currently Cosentino is present in 40 countries, with its own assets in 29 of them. The group has eight factories (seven in Almería (Spain and one in Brazil), one intelligent logistic platform in Spain, and more than 130 commercial and business units throughout the world. More than 90% of Cosentino Group’s revenues comes from international markets.
