MATERIALS

MATTE QUARTZ
Cosentino North America, Stafford, Texas, introduces the Suede finish for Silestone® quartz surfaces. The matte finish is smooth to the touch, giving the surface a softer appearance with little reflection. Eligible selections for the finish include most of the Silestone black, white and gray hues, along with the entire Nebula series. As a Silestone product, it’s non-porous and holds high scratch-, stain- and heat-resistance, with a 15-year limited manufacturer’s warranty. The finish will be available for delivery in January.

TOOL TRAY
Omni Cubed Inc., Placerville, Calif., introduces the Tool Tray accessory for its Pro-Cart AT1 and Pro-Cart AT2 models by Omni Cubed, Inc. The set of two trays enable transportation of heavy tool bags/cases (weight capacity per tray: 150 lbs) to an install without interfering with the cart’s ability to carry countertops. The trays set in place on each side of the cart and are quickly added or removed without tools; made of non-rusting aluminum, the trays are lightweight for easy storage in a van or truck.

AUTOMATIC FILTER CLEANING
CS Unitec Inc., Norwalk, Conn., introduces the CS 1435 wet/dry vacuum for dust extraction that automatically cleans its filters – without interrupting suction – when it detects decreased airflow. The 33-lbs unit features an electromagnetic pulse cleaning system to automatically shake the filters to remove debris. The vacuum includes a 6.6-gallon capacity and 99.93% filtration efficiency of particles up to 0.3 microns, as well as an automatic shut-off sensor during wet vacuuming and volume flow display. ONLINE COLOR MATCHING
Integra Adhesives, Abbotsford, B.C., launches a unique interactive color-chart webpage for its adhesive line. It allows fabricators to build a custom chart based on what material (quartz, natural stone, quartz surface, solid surface, glass, ceramic and concrete) and brands they fabricate.  They can then sort the chart by sheet color or adhesive color, and even select specific sheet colors. The charts includes cartridge size availabilities for each color, sorting the 100ml (fitting in a regular caulking gun for handy in-the-field seam work), standard 250ml and cost-effective 500ml.

HARDSCAPE STONE CARE
DuPont Paver Armor Pro™, Hayward, Calif., introduces Paver Armor Pro™, a professional-grade line of sealers and cleaners for hardscapes. The series, from the makers of DuPont™ StoneTech™ Professional products, includes three easy-to-choose categories – Paver Armor Pro™ Color Enriching Sealers, Natural Look Sealers, and Cleaners. Most of the 12 products of the new line are water-based (the Ultra Strength Oil and Grease Remover being the exception). The products will be available, beginning Jan. 1, from DuPont distributors and factory-direct online.
