GRINDING PADS
Applied Diamond Tools, Chesterfield, Mo., introduces 4”-diameter metal-bond flexible diamond grinding discs/pads for heavy to medium grinding of granite and other types of stones. The metal bond provides additional aggressiveness and life, and greater flexibility than diamond cup wheels for working on curved areas. The pads can be used wet or dry (wet recommended); available in grits of 30, 50, 100 and 200, the pads have color-coded Velcro® backs.

AUTOMATIC AIR CONTROL
Kaeser Compressors Inc., Fredericksburg, Va., introduces the adaptive 3D Control for its Sigma Air Manager. The software monitors the three dimensions that affect air-system efficiency — switching losses, control losses, and pressure flexibility – for energy savings, reduced leakage and lowest average system pressure for better operation of plant equipment. The controller includes an integral Web server for remote monitoring of system activity.

SMALL-FOOTPRINT CNC
VIC International Corp., Powell, Tenn., introduces the Krea small-footprint CNC from Denver S.A. of Gualdicciolo, San Marino. The machine features a working area (with 100mm tool) of 82.7” X 43.3”, with a Z-axis clearance of 11.8”; the three-axes machine uses a 12.5 HP motor (with a 10,000 rpm maximum) with automatic tool changing from a 14-position cassette. The unit includes a vacuum-holddown system; the overall footprint is 150.6” X 104.7” X 87.4”.

VACUUM LIFTER UPDATE
Anver Corp., Hudson, Mass., updates its VT Series of ergonomic vacuum lifters with a stronger, more-secure, fully adjustable stainless-steel handlebar that secures at six points for optimum rigidity, and also includes custom-formed plastic grips. The lifters also include a new lifting tube that’s 15-percent lighter, is more-compressible and has new easy screw-on connectors. Units are available with capacities up to 650 lbs.
