ONLINE CANADIAN COURSE
University of Ceramic Tile and Stone (UofCTS), San Diego, announces a Canadian version of Understanding the Basics of Natural Stone, which is available through Terrazzo, Tile and Marble Association of Canada (TTMAC). TTMAC collaborated with the UofCTS to convert the original course to include Canadian TTMAC manuals, specifications and industry standards, and also offers an up-to-date comprehensive look at the Canadian stone industry. The course is accredited by the Architectural Institute of British Columbia (AIBC), Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) and Interior Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC).

ONLINE INVENTORY
Levantina USA, Dallas, launches an online inventory website, featuring the company’s vast array of natural stone including granite, marble, onyx, travertine and quartzite with the ever-changing styles, colors, finishes, and sizes available. Stone can be searched by color, type of stone or thickness. The company’s Dallas operations is now live online; the Atlanta and Chicago branches will be added soon.

LARGE-FORMAT PHOTO SWATCHES
MEGA Swatch, St. Louis, offers MEGA Swatch, a system of 20” X 27” prints of granite photos to offer customers a better simulation of the look of a particular stone. All prints are made from scans of stone; using a proprietary, light-controlled production, color correction and printing process, all swatches are created to account for (and simulate) various lighting conditions.

ROOM SIMULATOR
Arizona Tile, Tempe, Ariz., introduces Just Imagine™, an online custom visualization tool allowing users to create a simulation of possible stone usage space in a few easy steps. The tool includes preloaded interior and exterior photos of residential rooms and commercial spaces, or customers can upload their own photos. Product choices can be narrowed, based on customer criteria. Customized images can be downloaded, emailed, printed or saved in the company’s system.

COMPRESSOR WHITEPAPER
