New CEO At Architectural Granite & Marble
AUSTIN — Sunil Palakodati is the new chief executive officer at Architectural Granite & Marble (AG&M) upon the retirement of Jack Seiders.
Jack Seiders formed AG&M in 1992, and served as its president until this year.
“Sunil has the traits needed to guide AG&M to future growth and success,” Seiders said. “He’s smart and personable, a big-picture thinker, a great communicator and has a ‘roll up your sleeves’ work ethic.”
Palakodati’s background includes more than six years with Masco, a leading building-materials company knows for brands like KraftMaid Cabinets, Behr Paint and Delta Faucets; he held the positions of executive vice president and managing director, and provided the organization with business development and operational skills that strengthened its capability.
At AG&M, Palakodati is responsible for all aspects of the multi-location countertop distribution company, leading the management team and driving organic growth as well as acquisition and integration.
Palakodati received his undergraduate degree in engineering from Bangalore University, a Masters in Technology from Pittsburg State University in Joplin, Mo., and an MBA from the Ross Business School at the University of Michigan. He also worked for Ford Motor Co. and its parts supplier Visteon both in technical and commercial areas.
