Nadal makes NYC Cosentino Visit
NEW YORK – International tennis champion Rafael Nadal changed from clay surfaces to harder tops and floors here last month for Cosentino Group.
Nadal visited the Spanish surfaces company’s Manhattan City Center showroom Aug. 24 for an exclusive private event for architects, designers and partners.
Nadal serves as the global face for Dekton®, Cosentino’s ultra-compact surface.
Nadal came to New York to compete in the U.S. Open; in the pre-tournament event, he personally met and greeted guests in attendance, and experienced the showroom’s innovation firsthand, where architects, designers and consumers are immersed in the latest technology to assist in the selection of Cosentino surfacing, including Silestone® and Dekton.
The event was hosted by Santiago Alfonso Rodriguez, Marketing Director for Cosentino Group, and Cosentino Manhattan City Center Showroom Manager Ana Granados.
The relationship between the Spanish company and Nadal launched in 2014 when Dekton sponsored the construction of the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar, which will open soon in his hometown of Manacor, Spain. The Academy’s design demonstrates the unlimited architectural and design possibilities Dekton offers – from facades, floors, and other surfaces throughout the space.
