MIA to Hold Webinar on CEU
CLEVELAND – The Marble Institute of America (MIA) will hold an introductory webinar for members on its continuing-education unit (CEU) program on July 24 at 3 p.m. EDT.
The MIA offers members the opportunity to hold CEU-approved sessions for designers and architects. The presentations allow design professionals to earn CEU credits needed for recertification and renewal of professional designations through groups such as the American Institute of Architects (AIA) or American Society of Interior Designers (ASID.)
MIA members can give these presentations at their facilities and connect with design professionals with education and support. The MIA currently offers 10 PowerPoint-based CEU classes, with more in development.
The one-hour webinar will:
- Discuss the history of the CEU program and how your involvement can benefit your company;
- Learn about the enrollment process and relevant fees;
- Summarize each of the courses currently offered and briefly examine the support & literature available for training;
- Learn about scheduling classes and explain the necessary paperwork involved; and
- Offer a Q & A session.
Members can participate in the webinar by going here on July 24 at 3 p.m. and connecting online – the linkup will tie in a member’s computer microphone and speakers, and a headset is connected.
For those opting for an audio connection by phone, call 636-277-0130 at 3 p.m. on July 24, and use the access code of 676-136-216 (that’s also the meeting ID number). An audio PIN may be given after joining the meeting.
