The move increases the MIA office space from 2,800 ft² to 4,200 ft² with additional room to grow. The organization plans to open a training room in the new building next year.

“We seized an opportunity to relocate the MIA headquarters to a building that provided growth opportunity, while decreasing our overall rent and utility costs,” said MIA Executive Vice President/CEO Jim Hieb. ““The MIA continues to enjoy easy access to the Cleveland airport.

“The new office includes a wide variety of stonework which was donated by over a dozen MIA member companies.”

Oberlin (population 8,000) is well known as the home of Oberlin College, a leading liberal-arts institution. The region also has a rich heritage of sandstone quarrying; today, MIA member Cleveland Quarries continues that tradition.

MIA’s new address is:

Marble Institute of America
380 E. Lorain St.
Oberlin, OH 44074

While the MIA phone number will remain the same (440-250-9222), there is a new fax number: 440-774-9222.
