trott Steven TrottA project architect at Hnedak Bobo Group in Memphis, Tenn., Trott will attend the Verona event for “Designing With Natural Stone,” Marmomacc’s week-long continuing education program for architects and also visit Milan

Trott won the trip as part of a competition hosted by AEC Daily and sponsored by VeronaFiere, Marmomacc’s host/organizer, and Santa Margherita, manufacturer of quartz surfaces and other engineered-stone products.

Trott holds nearly 30 years of experience in design, having served in a multitude of capacities in coordinating all aspects of architectural projects. His current work involves a significant focus on the detailing of his firm’s design work.

“I am truly excited to be a part of this conference and eagerly await learning what’s new in the stone industry,” Trott said. “I look forward to the prospect of applying this knowledge in my architectural practice and bringing new ideas home with me after the conference is over so that I might share them with others.

“Winning this contest will help fulfill a life-long dream of mine to travel to Italy and learn more intimately about the roots of Italian culture and their architecture and art”.

Marmomacc’s “Designing With Natural Stone” continuing-education program offers a unique combination of classroom lectures, guided architectural tours, and field trips to local quarries, as well as to natural-stone processing facilities. This comprehensive approach enables architects to better understand stone’s full life-cycle – including how marble is quarried, cut, processed, finished, selected for specific jobs and installed, all using the latest technologies and products.
