Marmomac Makes Its Plans for 2025
MILAN, Italy – “Stone Sets the Stage” is the theme for Marmomac 2025, to be held Sept. 23-26 in Verona, Italy.

As Europe’s premier international event for the natural stone supply chain, more than 1,400 exhibitors from more than 50 countries are expected, along with more than 50,000 stone professionals from 150 countries. This year’s event will emphasize material, technology and culture
To open the planning for this year’s event, event producer Veronafiere chose held a press conference at Dropcity, the Milan-based laboratory founded by Andrea Caputo as home to Italy’s first “materioteca” located in the tunnels beneath Milan’s Central Station.
Serving as a backdrop for a presentation by Veronafiere’s leadership team on May 29, the event also included Giorgio Canale, artistic director of The Plus Theater, and Davide Fabio Colaci, professor at the Politecnico di Milano.
Veronafiere President Federico Bricolo noted that Marmomac is the international stage where natural stone melds business, culture, innovation and relationships, as stone is one of the flagship industries of Made in Italy.
“This achievement is the result of a system-wide project involving companies, production districts, institutions and associations such as the ministries of Made in Italy and Foreign Affairs, as well as Confindustria Marmomacchine,” Bricolo said.
The 2025 edition of Marmomac aims to highlight all the elements of the event that tell the story of stone in its productive, technical, and cultural dimensions. The three pillars will be showcased across 12 exhibition halls and eight outdoor display areas.
New this year will be Pavilion Zero | Antolini®, housed in the two central aisles of the Gallerie Mercatali.
Marmomac was born as an event where natural stone is presented in all its many forms, from raw block to finished work. This year, the show will offer daily screenings of “Il Capo,” a firm by Yuri Ancarani, filmed entirely in a marble quarry.
First presented at the Venice Film Festival 15 years ago, the soundtrack from the quarry will also come the first-ever playlist dedicated to the acoustic world of marble, from block extraction to sawing and lab work.
Natural stone has always played a key role in urban planning, interior design and the highest forms of artistic expression and The Plus Theatre returns for its fourth edition with a program of talks, lectures, workshops and four themed exhibitions exploring the world of stone.
A cornerstone of Marmomac since 1998, Marmomac Academy presents an international program exploring themes related to the selection and use of natural stone, design, and advanced processing techniques.
This year, in addition to the professional development sessions offering internationally recognized continuing education credits through Marmomac Academy, a series of panels will foster discussion on marble and contemporary culture.
With Marmomac 2025, Italy continues to reinforce its global leadership, remaining in the top three across all sectors of the supply chain and ranking first in machinery and technology.
