Marble & Granite Inc. Makes ColorQuartz® Choice

WESTWOOD, Mass. – When it came to changing sources after offering quartz surfacing for more than 13 years, Marble & Granite Inc. followed advice from a great source: customers.

The stone distributor switched brands earlier this year, bringing in California-based ColorQuartz. Marble & Granite Inc. is the exclusive distributor for the Northeast United States, covering an area from New York to Maine and sections of southern Canada.

When dealing with quartz surfaces, Marble & Granite Inc. found that customers wanted a larger size than 56.5″ X 120″, as well as a lower price and quicker replenishing of inventory to curb long, long lag times for materials.

ColorQuartz offered larger slab at 62” X 124”, and dealing direct with the manufacturer cut raw-materials costs by as much as 30%. And, ColorQuartz’s six production lines at its Chinese manufacturing based means a lead time of eight weeks from factory to Marble & Granite Inc.’s warehouse – half the time of its previous quartz-surfaces supplier.

Marble & Granite Inc. offers 40 shades of ColorQuartz at its two showroom locations in Massachusetts and Connecticut.
