Levantina Announces New Chicago GM, Reinvestment in Branch

 

DALLASLevantina USA announces the appointment of Sole Llorca as general manager of Levantina Chicago.

The U.S. operations  of the Novelda, Spain-based stone quarrier and processor also renewed its commitment to the Chicago branch by investing in a new layout and inventory.

250 Sole LlorcaSole LlorcaLlorca brings a wealth of knowledge to the general manager position, spending more than 15 years as part of Levantina’s Export Department. Sole started in Spain and began her U.S.-based duties with Levantina a dozen years ago. Her varying roles within the department included business development, strategic sales and quality control.

“Levantina USA is extremely happy to welcome Sole into her new position,” saidd David Garcia, Levantina USA managing director. “We know that with her strong background and expertise, she will be a tremendous asset – not only to Chicago, but to Levantina USA sales as a whole.

“Sole’s ability to build strong client relationships and her commitment to quality customer service, makes her the perfect choice to run the Chicago branch.”

In her new role, Llorca will be responsible for the daily operations of the Chicago showroom and warehouse, along with managing the sales and warehouse staff. She will also be responsible for growing Levantina’s market position in Chicago, and strengthen its position as a major player in the natural-stone industry.

“Levantina is a company I know and believe in,” Llorca said. “I look forward overseeing the operations of the Chicago showroom and warehouse. I am pleased to join this talented team and begin to play a critical role in driving new business development opportunities.”

Levantina Chicago will hold an event at their showroom in late April to introduce Llorca and to showcase their new materials and updated warehouse layout. Garcia and executives from Levantina Spain will be in attendance.

“We have made a strong commitment to the Chicago branch with a new general manager, new warehouse layout and new inventory, and we regard it as a core market for the company,” Garcia said. “We are confident that the very visible investment commitments we are making will afford Levantina Chicago a more significant share of the natural-stone market in this area.”

Levantina USA also has showrooms located in Atlanta and Dallas.

Levantina, founded in 1959, owns 63 quarries, eight factories and 35 distribution warehouses, with a portfolio of more than 250 different materials exported to more than 110 countries worldwide.
