Landmark Ceramics Opens U.S. Plant Expansion
MT. PLEASANT, Tenn. — Landmark Ceramics celebrated the unveiling of the latest significant expansion and investments at their headquarters here on March 22.
The ceremony marked the completion of significant investments made to increase Landmark’s production capacity, expand its warehouse, renovate its showrooms for indoor and outdoor products, and improve its logistics services.
More than 200 people attended the event, including Tennessee Governor Bill Lee.
Landmark Ceramics is part of Italian porcelain manufacturing group Gruppo Concorde and officially started U.S. production in 2016 after an initial investment of more than $100 million. The recent improvements doubled the company’s total investment and increased annual production capacity to 80 million ft².
The 96-acre facility, located 50 miles southwest of Nashville, now includes more than 1 million ft² of covered area.
“Landmark Ceramics is one of the many businesses that has shaped Tennessee’s economic landscape over the last decade,” Lee said. “I thank this company for its commitment to creating greater opportunity for Tennesseans and am proud to announce their expansion in Maury County.”
Tennnessee Economic and Community Development (TNECD) Commissioner Stuart McWhorter noted that the Landmark facility is part of the $350 million invested by ceramics companies in the state since 2018.
“We are excited to finally have the chance to reveal our latest investments that started back in 2022, ‘said Landmark Ceramics CEO Filippo Sgarbi. “Despite being a young company, Landmark Ceramics has made big steps in the North American market in the past eight years, which is also thanks to the continuous support of TNECD.
“These latest important investments to increase our production capacity and create a brand-new Logistic Hub will give Landmark Ceramics even more tools to provide all its customers a better service and resources to successfully compete in the market.”
