Laminam Qualifies for New NSF Certification
FIORANO MODENESE, Italy – Laminam is one of the first manufacturers of ceramic surfaces worldwide to obtain the NSF-ANSI “Solid Surfacing for Food Zone” certification.
The certification allows the use of Laminam finishes as surfaces intended for direct contact with foodstuffs, and any associated liquid condensate they produce. (See The Importance of Standards: Defining Safe “Solid Surfaces,” Summer 2020 Stone Update Magazine.)
Tests carried out by accredited external labs on Laminam surfaces just off the production line have shown the elimination, up to 93%, of microbes, bacteria and mold.
Laminam also offers additional Ambience bio-active treatments, which can be applied to most of its catalog products. These reduce the growth of bacteria, mold and mildew on its surfaces (thereby eliminating the unpleasant odors they produce) by up to 99.9%, break down pollutants present in the air (by releasing oxygen), and make horizontal and vertical surfaces even easier to clean.
