Lackmond Appoints Mike Clemente as VP Sales

250 clementeClementeMARIETTA, Ga. – Leading tooling supplier Lackmond Products Inc. names Mike Clemente as Vice President of Sales, overseeing the company’s sales strategies and business development in North America.

Clemente brings more than 36 years of experience in sales and distribution within the construction building materials markets.  Prior to joining Lackmond, he worked for Simpson Strong-Tie as the director of new business development for the Anchor Systems division. 

His other positions with Simpson Strong-Tie included National Sales Manager for Simpson Anchor Systems for 6 years and Regional Sales Manager for 15 years.  During Clemente’s time with Simpson Anchor Systems, his team was recognized with consecutive Sphere 1 “Partner of the Year” awards as well as an Evergreen “Supplier of the Year” achievement award.

“This position is truly a unique opportunity for me to help strengthen relationships between Lackmond Products, Inc. and our customer partners,” Clemente said. “I am excited to be part of continuing and accelerating Lackmond’s growth in the building and construction markets.”

Clemente lives in Lake Tahoe, Calif., with his wife Lori and their two sons.

250 newmanNewmanLackmond also named Brian Newman as Northeast Territory Manager, overseeing the company’s sales strategies and business development in the Northeast.

Prior to joining Lackmond, Newman worked as a property/construction manager for a commercial real estate company in Massachusetts.  He also spent more than eight years working with AH Harris & Sons, in inside sales, outside sales and as a branch manager.

“We are excited to have Brian join the Lackmond team and take on the role of Northeast Territory Manager,” Sallis said. “His extensive sales experience in the construction supply distribution market will be an asset to our team and help continue our growth.”

Newman has two bachelors degrees, one in psychology from the University of Connecticut and the other in construction management from New England Institute of Technology.  He enjoys golf and spending time with his wife Erin and their three sons.
