Health-Benefits Program Through MIA
CLEVELAND — A worksite health-benefits program is now available to U.S.-based members of the Marble Institute of America (MIA).
In partnership with Intersect Insurance Services, the program offers benefits tp offset stress caused by sudden illness, accident, or death. The Allstate-Insurance-backed package also covers non-medical expenses that current insurance may omit.
Intersect Insurance’s Alan Lemick is a stone-industry veteran that has worked in many areas of the supply chain.
“The worksite benefits program is very timely with the changes and implementation of the Affordable Care Act”, he sas. “Employers can offer this program and lower their costs, while employees receive vital benefits on a guarantee issue basis. This type of program typically has only been available to large corporations, so it’s great to be able to share it with MIA member companies.”
“This program,” said Jeff Handley, MIA member relations manager, “is designed to provide peace of mind to employees in the natural stone industry. Any time we can add value to MIA membership, we try to take advantage of it and extend that value to our members.”
