Hardscape Show Draws Big in Louisville
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – More than 2,000 hardscape contractors, dealers and retailers attended the Hardscape North America (HNA) trade show here on Oct. 21 – 23
HNA welcomed 45 new exhibitors in 2015 to the Kentucky Exposition Center, making it the largest show ever for the hardscape industry. The event, running in conjunction with GIE+EXPO (Green Industry & Equipment Expo), provided HNA exhibitors the exposure to over 9,300 landscape and hardscape professionals.
Hardscape contractors, as well as landscape contractors, were able to choose from eight conference sessions and six live demonstrations that were approved for ICPI Installer Continuing Education Credits. GIE+EXPO attendees with upgraded registration were also able to attend live HNA demonstrations, educational sessions and workshops to learn how to add hardscape construction and improve their hardscape skills and profitability.
The HNA Installer Championship attracted much attention in the 19-acre Outdoor Demonstration Area. Fifteen teams competed in the 4 preliminary rounds, with the four highest scoring teams moving on to the final Championship round. Ultimately, Cooper’s Pavers of Mannington, N.J., emerged as this year’s champion.
The HNA awards, presented during a recognition reception on Oct. 22, drew 75 entries. There were 14 awards presented and seven honorable mentions. The winning entries are available at www.hardscapena.com.
Several HNA attendees walked out of the Kentucky Exposition Center on Friday a little wealthier – including Brian Richardson from Trenton, N.J., by winning the $10,000 Fabulous Friday Giveaway sponsored by Belgard Hardscapes.
The 2015 platinum sponsors for HNA were Belgard Hardscapes, IQ Power Tools, National Concrete Masonry Association, Pavestone Company and Pine Hall Brick. The Gold sponsor was Techniseal Inc., and Silver sponsors were Ewing Hardscape Products and Pathfinder Systems.
HNA is produced by the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute and is endorsed by the Brick Industry Association and the National Concrete Masonry Association.
HNA 2016 will be held Oct. 19-21 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville.
