Hanwha Surfaces Opens New NE U.S. Warehouse

ATLANTA, GA – Hanwha Surfaces, the American subsidiary of South Korean-based conglomerate Hanwha L&C, opened a brand new warehouse and sales facility in Springfield, Mass., to accommodate their move to direct distribution throughout New England and New York state.

The new facility comes on the heels of the expansion of their direct distribution to include Michigan, Ohio, New York and New England states in February, and the opening of their Philadelphia warehouse and showroom last October. The transition has helped the company directly reach consumers in these high volume territories with their HanStone Quartz line.

The new warehouse spans over 30,455 ft² and is located in a 1950s-era airplane hanger adjacent to Westover Air Reserve Base. In addition to the warehouse, the facility includes a fully-staffed sales office, as well as a showroom featuring full slab displays to simplify the process of product selection.

The convenient location of the facility will also enable the company to deploy HanStone delivery trucks directly to fabricators and other clients throughout the territory.

This expansion signals a period of unprecedented growth for Hanwha Surfaces, which is moving its entire production to North America in the coming year.

Hanwha Surfaces, based in Atlanta, GA, sells and markets high-quality surfacing products under HanStone Quartz and Hanex Solid Surfaces brand names. HanStone Quartz is the company’s flagship product that led to the opening of a state-of-the-art 200,000 ft² manufacturing facility in London, Ontario.
