Hanwha Surfaces Expands in Key Regions
ATLANTA – A new Philadelphia warehouse next month is only part of the North American expansion plans this year for Hanwha Surfaces.
For more than a decade, Korean-based Hanwha has been a major manufacturer/supplier of countertop materials in the United States and Canada with its HanStone Quartz and Hanex Solid Surfaces. While the products appeared for years as part of the ALLEN + ROTH house brands for Lowe’s home-improvement centers, the company is now engaged in an expansion and identity raising campaign of its own.
Hanwha is scheduled to open a new Philadelphia facility in June, with 40,000 ft² of inventory for Hanstone and Hanex projects. Before the end of the year, an Atlanta location will be selected to provide 50,000-60,000 ft² to server as the southeastern U.S. distribution hub for both products.
And, the company is considering a bigger warehouse in California for use by the end of this year.
Part of the branding mission also include the company’s first U.S. fleet of cars and delivery trucks emblazoned with the Hanwha logo to – without a doubt – get the company’s name moving from coast-to-coast.
