HanStone Unveils the First Quartzite-Looking Quartz: The Opimo Collection

Opimo Collection – Matterhorn

For the past decade, the interior design world has been captivated by the timeless allure of Calacatta, a natural stone renowned for its elegant, marbled appearance. The market had become inundated with designs aiming to replicate the distinctive aesthetics of this coveted material. However, as trends tend to do, the industry yearned for a fresh and innovative design perspective.

In a transformative move in 2023, HanStone shattered these boundaries and introduced the Opimo collection, a groundbreaking quartz series that masterfully replicated the aesthetic beauty of quartzites. The collection’s five colors – Le Blanc, Matterhorn, Elba White, Eden, and Patagonia – stand as a pivotal movement in the quartz industry, being the very first quartzite-looking quartz created using the latest Italian technology and premium material.

By successfully utilizing this combination, HanStone was able to not only add base patterns to the slabs, but also control the color and size of the patterns. Just like no two natural stones are exactly alike, each Opimo slab is given a slight variation in base pattern and color, ensuring an aesthetic appeal that will leave a lasting impression.

HanStone’s commitment to innovation is also exemplified by the collection’s vein patterns. Using state-of-the-art robotic arms along with the new technology, each slab boasts meticulously designed vein patterns resembling those often found in quartzites. From the smallest details to the overall look, every aspect of the collection has been carefully considered to deliver an authentic quartzite experience. Its remarkable color variations and depth of patterns reflect the true essence of quartzite, bringing limitless possibilities to any design environment.

As we look ahead to KBIS 2024, HanStone is poised to redefine the boundaries of quartz design once again, introducing an array of new colors, each meticulously crafted to embody the beauty of quartzites and the versatility of quartz. “The industry landscape has been transformed, and we’re proud to have played a pivotal role in this transformation. Opimo Collection is now the standard that everyone aspires to achieve and the direction in which everyone is headed,” said JK Lee, Vice President of Interior Stone Division at Hyundai L&C (HanStone/Hanex).

HanStone’s journey is far from over. With HanStone paving the way, the world of quartz design is brimming with exciting possibilities.
