Virtual Stone Summits Continue
OBERLIN, Ohio — The Natural Stone Institute and Stone World will continue its Virtual Stone Summit series through this spring.
The next sessions are:
April 14: There’s Something About Quartzite, with a discussion of the geology, fabrication, and installation practices that provide the best product application of this material. There’s also a review onhow to set expectations with customers to ensure successful installation and a happy client.
May 19-20: Estimating for Profitability, covering the basics of estimating, including factors that impact a project estimate and how to create estimates based on actual project costs. There’s also a look at project-specific risks that are often overlooked. The May 19 session is for residential estimating; the May 20 session covers commercial estimating.
June 9-10: Theories in Templating reviews of manual and automated templating processes and a discussion on the strengths of each. Learn what techniques and tools are available to increase accuracy and reduce errors, and define what makes a successful template. The June 9 session deals with manual templating, and digital/3D templating is covered on June 10.
All sessions begin at 11 a.m. EDT and run for approximately 90 minutes. A virtual trade show follows immediately after every session.
