DuPont Spins Off Chemical Sections

WILMINGTON, Del. – DuPont split off a large portion of its chemicals business today into the new Chemours Company.

Chemours is now an independent a global chemical company with leading market positions in titanium technologies, fluoroproducts and chemical solutions. It’s traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ”CC” symbol.

full chemoursChemours ingredients are found in plastics and coatings, refrigeration and air conditioning, mining and oil refining operations and general industrial manufacturing. Flagship products include prominent brands such as Teflon®, Ti-Pure®, Krytox® Viton®, Opteon® and Nafion®; the newly christened company employs approximately 9,000 across 37 manufacturing sites serving more than 5,000 customers in North America, Latin America, Asia-Pacific and Europe.
