Crew Contest Offers StonExpo, Vegas Visit

 

LAS VEGAS – Have a shop crew that’s produced some outstanding work this year? Care to share the details with the industry … and possibly win a trip to StonExpo Marmomacc Americas in January?

The new Crews that Rock competition will put three groups of fabricators and installers on the show floor and on The Strip, with airfare and lodging provided. Winners will be selected by fellow members of the stone industry – but the Nov. 14 deadline to enter is approaching fast.

STONEXPO 2011 aContest details are simple. First, pick any project your crew’s tackled in 2011. It can be a large a large mega-sized project, a small community-based endeavor, a residential project, a humanitarian/volunteer venture, or anything in-between. (It’s your call.)

Second, write up a brief (250-500 words) description of the project, along with details on the crew performing the work. Third, collect at three photographs (in JPG or GIF format): the minimum requirement is one of the crew, one of the work in progress, and one of the completed project.

Fourth: Send the photos and the description to crewsthatrock@stonexpo.com by the deadline of Nov. 14. And you’re done.

The finalists – the photos and the descriptions – will be determined by Nov. 19. Online voting will begin at the StonExpo website on Nov. 23, so everyone in the trade will have a chance to pick the winners.

The first-place winner gets up to $2,000 in airline credit to fly its crew to StonExpo/Marmomacc Americas 2012 on Jan. 23-26 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. The package also includes three nights in one of the official show hotels in Las Vegas, with up to four rooms with double-occupancy – that’s eight individuals in total. And, all the crew receives complimentary registration for StonExpo education and trade-show admittance.

Second place receives up to $1,000 airline credit to fly to Las Vegas for the event, with three complimentary nights in a official show hotel with two double-occupancy rooms (maximum number of people: four) and complimentary registration for education and exhibits.

Third place receives to $500 airline credit to fly to Las Vegas for the event, with three complimentary nights in a official show hotel with one double-occupancy room (maximum number of people: two) and complimentary  registration for education and exhibits.

Flights will be booked through Hanley Wood, the owner/producer of StoneExpo/Marmomacc Americas; details will be provided to winners.
