Coverings Connected: One More Time
ARLINGTON, Va. – The final Coverings Connected online session before this summer’s in-person event is set for April 28.
The three online webinars this month will lead into Coverings 2021 on July 7-9 in Orlando, Fla.

Celebrating Artisans in Tile, from 11 a.m.-noon EDT on April 28, features a panel to explore the process, mindset, and skills an installer needs to grow into a craftsperson, as well as recommended installation instructions, materials, tools, unboxing and prep needed from an installer perspective.
Amber Fox of the National Tile Contractors Association (NTCA) will moderate the panel of Stephen Belyea of JSG Tile and Stone in Weymouth, Mass.; Sal Di Blasi of Elite-Tile Co. in Medford, Mass.; Angie Ré of Unique Mosaics LLC in South Salt Lake, Utah; and Leo Reynaga of Visalia Ceramic Tile in Visalia, Calif. In addition, a video segment from TileLetter ARTISAN Editor Lesley Goddin will open the session to give attendees a sneak peek at the new publication.
The 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m. EDT session will be a special edition of the Because It’s Tile podcast, as host Rick Church – executive director of the Ceramic Tile Distributors Association (CTDA) – will discuss the topic Distribution with Rudy Lierena, president of D&B Tile in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. They’ll discuss the challenges and successes of the tile industry, the effects of COVID-19 on distribution, and the industry’s future.
Artistic Collaboration: Partnering with Mosaic Artisans and Community Groups for Projects with Meaningful Impact, from 2 p.m.-3 p.m. EDT, will include a panel discussion moderated by Dawnmarie Zimmerman, executive director of the Society of American Mosaic Artists (SAMA) in Ligonier, Pa.
