Coverings Announces 2021 Awards Programs
ARLINGTON, Va. – It’s time to nominate some of the best work – and young workers – in the tile and stone trade with two awards programs from Coverings.
The 2021 Coverings and Installation Design (CID) Awards recognize projects worldwide featuring tile and stone. And, Coverings Rock Stars salute the young movers-and-shakers in the industry.
Tile and stone projects completed in the past two years are eligible for the CID honors. Projects will be judged separately on installation and design, with entry forms specific to each field of work.
Projects will be judged on their levels of creativity, craftsmanship, outstanding use of materials, and achievement in the use of tile or stone within the residential and commercial project categories. Of particular interest are projects that demonstrate an original or unusual use of materials, incorporate an innovative technology, reflect installation excellence, or successfully combine aesthetics with function in a unique and interesting way.
Awards will be given in Residential and Commercial categories for:
Tile Installation
Tile Design
Stone Installation
Stone Design
All winners will win a free one-night stay in Orlando to attend Coverings 2021 on April 13-16 and recognition at the show as well as in trade media. Additional projects may be recognized for Special Recognition categories such as International, Artistic Use of Tile/Stone, Institutional, Community Project and others, based on submissions received. Winners will also have their work displayed onsite at the show.

The Coverings Rock Star awards spotlight young industry talent that has a bright future in the tile and stone industry.
Since its conception, the program has recognized dozens of young leaders who have connected at Coverings through mentorship and networking opportunities. The program underscores Coverings mission to support the growth and success of the industry by recognizing top-notch talent and fostering networking and educational opportunities.
Eligible nominees must be 35 or below and employed within one of the following professions: architect, designer, distributor, retailer, contractor/installer, fabricator, specifier, trade association, or manufacturer.
Selected Rock Stars will receive industry accolades, a complimentary one-night stay to attend Coverings 2021 in Orlando on April 13-16, and unique professional development opportunities.
