Cosentino 2021: Net Profit Up 59%
CANTORIA, Spain – Cosentino Group scored another record year in 2021, bringing in more than €1.5 billion. according to a recent report in the magazine Andalucía ECONÓMICA.
The Spanish surfacing company also created 685 new jobs and invested €105 million in improvements and additions to its Silestone® and Dekton® production.
The company’s 2021 revenues of €1.4 billion posted an increase of 30% from 2020. The net profit of €104 million is 59% ahead of the previous year.
Last year also marked a high degree of productivity increases, according to Andalucía ECONÓMICA. Cosentino completed implementation of its Silestone production (including the HybriQ® technology), and increased productivity with the two Dekton lines.
The company also coordinated construction of new buildings for two additional Dekton lines, with one scheduled to begin production this summer.
Cosentino also increased its workforce by creating of 685 new jobs, with 70% at the company’s industrial campus and headquarters in Cantoria. Total worldwide employment reached 5,425 by the end of last year.
Under the company’s Strategic Sustainability Plan, more than €15 million euros went to environmental and safety assets last year, including what will be the largest industrial photovoltaic installation for self-consumption in Spain.
With approximately 37,000 solar panels, the systems will generage 35 MW of peak power and an approximate energy production capacity of 58.2 GWh/year. This project alone will involve a total joint investment of €24 million when completed.
Cosentino distributes its products and brands in more than 110 countries from its headquarters in Spain. Currently, the multinational has a presence in 40 countries, with subsidiaries or owned commercial assets in 30. Cosentino has seven production factories and its smart logistics center in Spain, plus one factory in Brazil and more than 140 commercial and distribution facilities worldwide. Approximately 93% of Cosentino’s revenue is generated outside of Spain.
