Cohen also currently serves as president of the Natural Stone Institute Board of Directors.

Although NKBA is probably best known as the producer of the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS), access to Global Connect’s North American industry advisors is a membership benefit included in the association’s international business development program.

NKBA’s Global Connect is designed to help manufacturers understand business practices in the North American kitchen and bath sector, reduce risk and prepare for successful entry into the market.

Global Connect advisors are industry leaders based in North America, and share insights, experiences and connections as part of the process.

Cohen has more than two decades of experience in the production, importation and distribution of natural stone and engineered surfaces. Quality Marble and Granite is an importer and distributor of both those product lines.

The company, which operates in both Southern California and Arizona, sources directly from quarries and manufacturers from around the world, with an emphasis on sustainable and environmentally sound production practices.

Geraldine Morrison, chief partnerships officer, domestic and global brands for NKBA called Cohen a trusted authority in the first and an exception addition to the organization’s team.

“Imported quartz and stone surfaces represent a significant opportunity for growth, and Evan’s deep experience will be an enormous resource for international first seeking to gain a foothold in the North American market,” Morrison said.

The Global Connect program offers its member access to a range of strategic business advisors who are available to consult on topics including distribution strategies, regulations and compliance, finance and insurance, product design and development, among other topics.

NKBA currently represents more than 55,000 North American kitchen and bath industry professionals.
