Cambria Completes Major Stadium Install
MINNEAPOLIS – Cambria offers sponsorships at numerous U.S. sports facilities, but the quartz-surfaces company made its largest mark yet with its products here at the new U.S. Bank Stadium.
The home facility for the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings features more than 18,000 ft² of Cambria surfaces in premium clubs and suites, including the The Medtronic Club, Mystic Lake’s Club Purple and Delta Sky360 Club.
As an official corporate partner, Cambria worked closely with the Vikings to create 12 custom quartz designs, featuring rich purple, gold, white and black tones in unique marbling and veining, showcasing Cambria’s signature depth and movement.
The U.S Bank Stadium project is the largest installation of Cambria on a single project since the company’s inception in Le Sueur, Minn, in 2001. The surface is included in a variety of surface applications with intricate fabrication details, including countertops, bars, banquets and furniture.
Customers can extend the fan experience into their homes with Princetown™, one of the exclusive Viking designs, now available to homeowners and partners. Available immediately for order across the country, fans can celebrate their Purple Pride by incorporating Princetown™ in their own kitchens, wet bars, fireplace surrounds and more.
“As a longtime supporter of our local sports community, we are excited to begin a new partnership with the Minnesota Vikings in U.S. Bank Stadium,” said Peter Martin, Executive Vice President Sales, Marketing & Business Partner Services at Cambria. “Through our close collaboration with the Vikings, we leveraged our proprietary technology to deliver bold patterns and details never seen before in stone surfaces.
“A project of this scale is a great example of how far the quartz industry has come, and we can’t wait for fans to experience these unique spaces.”
The grand opening of U.S. Bank Stadium is tomorrow and Sunday, including access to the Hyundai Club featuring Cambria. Beginning August 3, the public will enjoy the unique clubs and suite spaces during special events and Minnesota Vikings games.
U.S. Bank Stadium is owned and operated by the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority, a local governmental unit of the State of Minnesota. While the major tenant in the stadium is the Minnesota Vikings, the building was designed to provide a wide array of events for the community and state. It will host high school and college sporting events, including baseball and soccer.
The new stadium can also accommodate large trade shows and concerts as well as smaller intimate events in the stadium’s six state-of-the-art club spaces and locations throughout the building.
