Brazil Boosts Stone Market in São Paulo
SÃO PAULO, Brazil – When the renamed and relocated Marmomac Brazil convenes here this week, a day of negotiations is scheduled to connect 22 Brazilian companies with buyers from eight countries.

Called the Round of Negotiations, the sessions are a project of “It’s Natural – Brazilian Natural Stone,” developed by the Brazilian Natural Stone Association (Centrorochas) in partnership with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrazil).
Overall, 264 meetings will be held, connecting 14 international buyers from countries including Canada, India, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Taiwan, and the United States with 22 Brazilian companies.
The sessions hope to build on Brazil’s 2024 success in the natural stone market. The sector saw $1.26 billion (US) last year, an increase of 12.7% from 2023. Some 82.3% of that figure comes from the stone-producing state of Espirito Santo.
Each meeting is expected to last about 30 minutes, and the aim is to generate new business that can further the country’s participation in global markets.
Tales Machado, president of Centrorochas, says the organization is very excited about holding the negotiations as Marmomac debuts in San Paulo.
“This action is part of a solid strategy for international insertion, creating opportunities for Brazilin natural stone companies to stay connected with target markets, strengthen global partnerships and establish Brazil as a point of reference when it comes to quality, diversity of materials and innovation in the industry,” Machado said.
It’s Natural – Brazilian Natural Stone is an export promotion program that currently supports 223 companies.
