Art Odom New Prexy at David Allen

 

RALEIGH, N.C. — Art Odom is the new president of David Allen Company (DAC), effective July 1.

Odom, a 22-year veteran of the stone/tile/terrazzo company, succeeds Don Scott, who will continue working for DAC on a limited basis.

200 odumArt OdomOther management changes include David Roberson’s assumption of the CEO post while continuing oversight of the company’s large terrazzo operation, and Martin Howard, who will be executive vice president for tile, stone and branch operations.

Odom, previously vice president/CEO of the company, practiced as a CPA with a large accounting firm for six years prior to joining DAC in 1991. He has provided leadership throughout the company, including financial oversight of its branch offices.

“My vision is to build on David Allen Company’s strong marketplace position and job performance record,” Odom says. “We will continue to seek new growth opportunities while maximizing our strengths in marketing and customer relations.”

Scott served as the company’s president for 17 years

“It is in the best interest of David Allen Company to recognize the leadership that has been emerging over the past several years,” Scott says. “I will continue working with the executive team on a reduced schedule.”

Robert Roberson will continue as chairman.

With offices in Raleigh, Washington, Columbia, S.C., Birmingham, Ala., and Miami, David Allen Company is one of the nation’s largest tile, marble, and terrazzo companies and is celebrating its 93rd year of operations.
