All Slab Fabbers: Sept. 19-21 Workshop

AIKEN, S.C. – The All Slab Fabbers will hold its first workshop here on Sept. 19-21, covering fabrication of thin porcelain slab and stone.

The session at Affordable Quality Marble and Granite Inc. is the first public real-time meeting for the Facebook group, which started on June 9 this year and already includes more than 1,400 members.

The first day (Sept. 19) will include cutting techniques of 12mm porcelain and 20mm Dekton®, using Affordable’s CNC saw and providing guidance for other machines. Other sessions include mitering and gluing the material, as well as product demos from workshop sponsors.

The second day (Sept. 20) will deal with fabrication of 6mm porcelain slab, along with handling all material production and workflow through a digital shop.

The workshop will wrap up on Sept. 21 with a free-form schedule to review the previous sessions and also discuss about the All Slab Fabbers.

The schedule for all three days includes plenty of time for networking, as well as attendance of Aiken’s Oktoberfest celebrations on Sept. 21.
