AG&M, Pental Surfaces Merge
AUSTIN, Texas & SEATTLE, Wash. – Architectural Granite & Marble (AG&M) and Pental Surfaces announced a merger of the two companies today.
The merger creates a leading distributor of interior surfaces including natural stone, quartz surfaces and tile, with 13 locations across the United States. Both companies will continue to operate under their established brand names.
“Today is a momentous day for both companies,” said Sunil Palakodati, CEO of Austin-based AG&M. “Pental Surfaces has built an unrivaled reputation on the West Coast and is an ideal partner for AG&M, enabling us to extend our combined geographic presence to serve our customers with innovative products and value-added service solutions.”
The combination, noted company officials, benefits from the tenured relationships and the strength of AG&M, Pental and Modul Marble & Granite, the Sun Valley, Calif.-based stone importer acquired by AG&M last July.
“The combination of Pental and AG&M creates a robust platform that will allow both companies to better serve the needs of our customers across the United States,” said Peter Pental, president of the combined entity. “I am excited to partner with Sunil Palakodati and the broader AG&M team to realize the full potential of this merger.”
AG&M operates facilities in Austin, Charlotte, Nashville, Oklahoma City, San Antonio, Raleigh, N.C., and Anaheim, Calif., along with Modul in Sun Valley. Pental locations are in Seattle, Los Angeles, Denver, Portland, Ore., and Fife, Wash.
