Achilli Ramps Up U.S. Branch

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Achilli S.r.l, an Italian manufacturer of stone saws, floor machines and stone material handling equipment for the past 68 years, recently brought its new U.S.-based office up to speed here.

Achilli USA will be the certified distributor for all Achilli saws, both large and portable, and all other Achilli products in the USA.

“Long known for our reliability and dependability in the shop we realize that occasionally our machines will need service and repair” says Davide Achilli, CEO of Achilli USA. “We hired a qualified Achilli technician, Kurt Alexander, with over 20 years of experience in installing, repairing and maintaining Achilli machines, as well as provide timely service and support so downtime is cut to an absolute minimum.

“We will be stocking bridge saws, miter saws, tile saws, a full line of portable saws, as well as a full parts program in our Charlotte warehouse.”

Alan Griffin is Achilli USA’s National Sales Director and will also provide any technical support needed by fabricators.

Rimini, Italy-based Achilli S.r.l. began in 1950 in general engineering and metal working and moved into floor-grinding and -polishing machines. The company started producing stone-fabrication saws in 1988 and CNC bridge saws in 2008.

To date, the company has sold 61,000 machines, with 89% of its business coming from beyond Italy’s borders. Some 35% of Achilli’s business comes from the United States.
