Inaugural Honor for MSI Founder
ORANGE, Calif. — Manu Shah, CEO of M S International Inc. (MSI), is the Orange Chamber of Commerce’s first Corporate Citizen of the Year.
Shah received the honor during the chamber’s annual State of the City event on Oct. 7. Gaddi Vasquez, former U.S Ambassador to the UN Agencies in Rome and director of the Peace Corps, presented the award.
“The Citizens of the Year committee were highly impressed by Mr. Manu Shah and felt compelled to create a new award that would better fit his accomplishments,” said Elizabeth Holloman, chamber executive director.
Going forward, the Corporate Citizen of the Year award is a highly coveted award given to corporate leaders who have made a significant impact on the City of Orange in terms of job creation, revenue generation and social impact.
M S International employs over 500 people in Orange and has established itself as the largest distributor of home-improvement materials in the city. Manu Shah and his family support nonprofits such as Habitat for Humanity, United Cerebral Palsy of OC, Pretend City, Orangewood Foundation, Orange Senior Center and many more.
